Alphabet Flower Hunt

Preschool Activity for Spring - ABC Hunt

Go on a flower alphabet hunt to make learning fun! Spring activity for preschool.

Spring is here!  Okay okay, in southern California winter isn't truly winter anyway, but I still love spring!  We are kicking off the season with a fun preschool activity for spring.  J-Bug had so much fun with our alphabet leaf hunt last fall, so I decided to set up an alphabet flower hunt for him.

Supplies:

I wrote lowercase letters on foam flowers that I had purchased at Michael's and placed them throughout our backyard for J-Bug (4) to find.

With each letter he found he said the name and sound.

Peanut and Tank (34 months) joined in the fun.  They mainly wanted to collect all the flowers then toss them into the air.

Introducing the alphabet to toddlers in hands on, playful ways.
